Shine: Let the light in

Bright light wakes you up. It’s the world’s way of saying Hello to you. Open the shades and gradually say hi back.

Breathe: Meditate

A yoga class, to this day, is the Best Thing I Never Had. Get your ohm on and wake up peacefully by breathing deeply for one minute.

Move: Work out

Stretch. Walk. Do dishes. Make your bed. Clean up your room. In other words, GRAIN. ON. THAT. WOOD.

Listen: Turn it up

Unless it’s circa 2006, when you Ring the Alarm on your Video Phone, you should have a great playlist to kick off your day while you get ready for what’s ahead.

Drink: Water

Can you imagine going eight hours without water while you’re awake? Neither can your sleeping body so have a glass when you wake up. If you’re not Crazy In Love with that idea, ginseng tea is a natural stimulant that improves brain function.

Eat: Breakfast

It is the most important meal of the day for good reason; the protein, carbs, fats, healthy sugars and fiber you eat in the morning keep your body healthy & kickstart your habits for the rest of the day. This meal is Irreplaceable and it knows it.

Change: Dress-up

I know you “woke up like dis” but you can’t wear your pajamas to work. Upgrade U by trying out a trend for fall or throw on your most work appropriate Freakum Dress.

Smile: Beauty routine

Flaws And All, you’re almost ready. Be sure to rinse your face of all the built up grime that collected since before you went to bed and then carry on with your regular beauty regimen.

Pack: Your bag

Don’t forget a smart midday snack like an orange. The smell of citrus boosts serotonin, the hormone that puts you in a positive, uplifted mood. (I can see your Halo already.)
