While my beach days have been basically nonexistent this summer, I haven’t let that stop me from flipping a few pages on my commute. I try to always have a book going in case of emergency (slash no free wi-fi) because there’s nothing better than getting lost in a good story (and I don’t mean Snapchat).

For the most part, I feel pretty prepared, sartorially speaking, for the upcoming transformation from sandals to sherpa-lined boots. (Okay, perhaps that’s a little eager but you know what I mean.) Soon we’re going to be pulling out our sweaters, and that means it’s also time to step up our seasonal footwear game.
I’ve had plenty of adventures as a twenty-six year old. Lunch breaks with friends, date nights on the water and dessert stops in the North End have been rounding out this summer as one of the best to date. While the new experiences have been amazing, the company has been even better.

It’s a long day living in Reseda…is something I would say if I was Tom Petty or John Mayer. Instead, I’m just me, living in and out of the city, loving my mama and America too. But I’ve also experienced a bit of guilt lately from thinking about things left behind, the broken hearts that followed and a dream that got me thinking about thinking less and doing more.

This has been a big week. On Tuesday I officially turned 26 and have celebrated in almost every way I can think of. From kicking off the festivities in NYC last weekend with my best friend to enjoying a Carvel ice cream cake at home with my family, 26 is off to an amazing start.

After a hiatus from the aspiring jet-setter I used to be, I’m currently on my way to The Big Apple to visit my best friend for the holiday weekend.This weekend will be my last as a twenty-five year old so in a way, I guess I’m also celebrating the goodbye party for my quarter-life crisis. (Good riddance!)
